Export Google Keep to Joplin
Joplin imports a directory of Markdown files with front matter, and reads title, created/updated dates and tags from it. KeepExport writes exactly that from your Takeout export.

Import into Joplin
You get: A .zip of .md files with front matter and an attachments/ folder.
- Download and unzip.
- In Joplin: File → Import → “MD - Markdown + Front Matter (Directory)” and pick the unzipped folder.
- Notes, tags, dates and images come in; archived notes land in a sub-notebook.
What carries over
- Title and text, with bold, italic and strikethrough
- Checklists with their checked state
- Labels
- Created and edited dates
- Archived notes (kept in an archived folder or marked)
- Images as resources
- Labels as Joplin tags
Good to know
- Alternatively import the Evernote (.enex) export via File → Import → ENEX; both carry tags and images.
Getting the export from Google
Open Google Takeout, deselect everything, select Keep, and create a zip export. Google emails a download link; the zip contains a Takeout/Keep folder. Drop that zip above. Full walkthrough: how to export Google Keep.

- Yes. The front matter's created and updated fields are read by Joplin's importer.
